Irina Gorovaia was born in St. Petersburg, Russia and raised in Brooklyn, New York.

She was in some big movies as a little girl (The Royal Tenenbaums, It Runs in the Family, The Butterfly Effect), during which time she attended The School of American Ballet, and studied drama at LaGuardia Arts High School. Irina earned a BA in Philosophy from CUNY Hunter College.

She studied at The Barrow Group under Seth Barrish and Lee Brock, the Meisner technique under Andrea Dantas and also went through the levels of improv at UCB.

Recently, she won Best Supporting Actress for After the Outbreak at The Endless Mountain Film Festival (2016), and was nominated for Best Actress at The Nice International Film Festival (2017).

Irina enjoys riding her bicycle, making short films with friends, and laughing at her own jokes.
